During the prize giving superior judge and spokesman of Dansk Varmblod's breeding committee, Poul Graugaard, said the following about Blue Hors Hotline:

“In 2016 when awarded the title Sire of the Year, Blue Hors Hotline DVH 916 is 13 years old and he is an extremely elastic mover - a characteristic that has not alone brought him to national as well as international triumphs in the dressage sport but has also secured him very big success as breedsire both in Denmark and abroad as sire of very well-functioning, subtle and leggy dressage horses.

Within Danish Warmblood he has almost 500 offspring and as young stallion he was champion at the licensings both in Germany and Denmark. At his final grading in Denmark as 4-year-old he achieved the sensational scores 4 x 10 and 4 x 9!

At his 70-day performance test in Germany he got 149.28 points and he was winner and runner-up respectively at the Danish Championships for Young Dressage Horses as 5- and 6-year-old.

Blue Hors Hotline was born in 2003 with Friedrich Oppermann, Germany. Through the years Blue Hors Hotline has delivered 15 sons to the Danish National Stallion Show in Herning.

One of his very significant sons at present time is the 8-year-old Ripline DVH 1058, damsire Blue Hors Cavan. He was born, raised, and licensed in the US at his owner’s ranch, Richard Freemann Jr. at Oak Hill Ranch in Louisiana. With his rider Heather Blitz he is one of the most winning youngsters in the US these years.

So far, Blue Hors Hotline sired more than 93 graded daughters in Denmark and in deed with a brilliant result since 67% are main studbook mares with passed riding tests (RDH) – of those count 10 medal mares; One gold medal and Dressage Mare of the Year, Sirikit who is placed at advanced level herself, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medal mares.

Six offspring have participated in the DWB Young Horse Championship in Herning which serves as a final of the 7 big regional ability tests each year in autumn.

When looking at the current result lists there are many indications that Blue Hors Hotline is heading towards the top of international dressage with his daily rider, Danish Daniel Bachmann Andersen.”
